Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using QR Event Gifting ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. What we provide

QR Event Gifting is a platform that lets event organisers collect digital gifts via QR codes and Stripe Checkout, and generate AI-written thank-you messages. We provide the software and infrastructure — we are not a party to any payment transaction between guests and organisers.

3. Event credits

Creating an event costs one credit. Your first event is free. Additional credits are purchased through our billing page. Credits are non-refundable once used to create an event. Unused credits do not expire.

4. Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. By connecting a Stripe account, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. QR Event Gifting does not store or have access to guest payment card details. Stripe deposits gift funds directly into your connected Stripe account.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use QR Event Gifting to:

• Collect payments for illegal goods or services.
• Impersonate another person or organisation.
• Upload photos containing illegal content, nudity, or harassment.
• Attempt to circumvent platform security or rate limits.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.

6. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, messages). By uploading, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of running your event.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that AI-generated text will be accurate or appropriate for all circumstances.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QR Event Gifting's total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
